This position is for a experienced Quantity Surveyor that can hit the ground running
Reporting to the Project Manager

Tendering
Cost Planning
Contract Admin
Cash Flows
Design and Build
Management System revision and development

Tendering:
Tenders will be passed on from the director, preparing tender invitations to subcontractrs and send and dsitrubute documents
Measure required trades from tender documents
Analyse and select bids

Review pre tender submissions with the director and finalise

Cost Planning:
Provide budges and estimates using the most appropriate method based on documentation and time . This requires local knowledge of costs and accuracy along with having confidence when time constraints are unreasonable and advise on a more achievable timeframe to work and agree on

Contract Admin: THIS is a major part of the day to day role and is essential you have strong skills within this area

Set up contract including negotiation
Job setup documentation following procedures along with appointing sub contractors once agreed with PM or Director
Experience setting up computer based cost tracking system
Submitting monthly progress claims to the client within deadline date, following u payments to ensure received within timely manner
Checking and processing subcontractor claims
Administer EWR, PNs and Contra harges
Checking supplier invoices, requests and credits
Final Account preparation

Cashflow:
Awarding contract, prepare prelim job cashflow for company planning, Revising cashflow monthly

Design + Build
Prepare client brief
Working with consultant selected by PM
Draft and Conclude contract documents for review by PM and director
