Experiencing strong growth, a Senior Project Manager vacancy with one of Wellington’s most reputable contractors has opened up. This role will be responsible for managing construction and refurbishment projects ($5m up to $30m+) from inception to handover across a diverse range of industries including educational facilities, commercial office buildings and high-rise residential properties.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Coordinating of all project phases - inception to handover
  • Maintaining a comprehensive working knowledge of the head contract and ensuring its timely/efficient completion
  • Undertaking Quality Control, site inspections and reporting
  • Managing and representing all stakeholders
  • Preparing high level feasibility studies for proposed property developments
  • Coordinating full construction documentation and presentation renders in consultation with sub contract consultants
  • Preparing tenders for Building and Construction projects
  • Preparing project management programmes
  • Ensuring projects are delivered to programme and budget while preparing monthly costs and programme reports
  • Providing health and safety training and conducting risk assessments

To be considered for the role, ideally you will have:
  • Bachelor Degree in Construction Management
  • Minimum 8 years of experience managing commercial building projects with a main contractor
  • Sound understanding of contract administration
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare project budgets, quotations, tenders and contractual documentation 
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Current, full driver's licence.
