Based in Mangere, we have a vacancy for a Biosolids Operatorto join our team where you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of duties which include operating and maintaining a variety of mobile plant, Manning the gatehouse, keeping records and performing a variety of manual duties as required to facilitate the on-going placement of biosolids and the rehabilitation of the Puketutu Island facility.
About the role:
- Operating and maintaining a variety of mobile plant including but not limited to a wheel loader, three trailer tractor, water cart, and excavator.
- Manual lifting, repair work, and general manual labour duties as required on site
- Perform preventative and remedial maintenance and daily machine checks.
- Carry out manual tasks involved with building cell walls and other areas of the site as required
About you:
You will be dedicated to high work standard, be flexible and committed to getting the job finished. You will be an excellent communicator and someone who is confident with operating a variety of hand tools and machinery
.
The following skills and attributes are required:
- Class 2 and W, T, R are desirable however we would consider training for the right person
- Class 1 licence as a minimum
- Proven experience on construction sites, quarry's or landfill projects
- Great work ethic and reliable
- Physically fit
- A commitment to Health and Safety
