We are seeking an experienced civil engineer who excels in a fast-paced environment managing multiple contracts. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of contracts ensuring each project is delivered on time, to the client’s satisfaction and within budget. Your role will involve working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and members of our close knit team. Key duties will include contract management and administration, planning and programming, claims and variations, subcontractor management, client relationship management, personnel management, Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Assurance compliance.
To be successful in this role your will need:
- A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering – NZCE minimum
- Experience as a contracts manager in the roading industry
- Strong planning and programming skills
- Able to confidently manage multiple projects
- Driven to meet client expectations, timeframes and to foster client relationships
- Great communication skills and ability to respond promptly to client requirements
- Strong commercial acumen, financial management and reporting skills
- Able to lead and manage personnel effectively
- Committed to meeting Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality compliance standards
- Excellent computer literacy
- Previous experience with RAMM and advantage but not essential
