DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial

Ensure all financial activities are carried out profitably:

  • Monitor all QC & Welding expenditure to ensure that expenditure does not exceed budgeted costs.

Company Management and Systems

  • Fulfil the duties and responsibilities of a SPIIND QC / Inspector.
  • Follow all Company Policy and Procedures and lead the way by setting a good example.
  • Ensure that you comply with all statutory acts, regulations and codes of practices.

Customer

  • Drive and liaise with customers (internal or external) to deliver the Quality Management Systems’ (QMS) objectives and targets.
  • Be one of the Company’s focal points on Inspection enquiries and issues.

Resources

  • Productively utilise resources and materials associated with this position.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and assistance to all company personnel as required.
  • Promote traceability and quality control expectations of performance to all our suppliers.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Essential Requirements

1) Highly competent at implementing and operating a quality management system.
2) Have a thorough understanding of welding quality standards/requirements.
3) A desire to improve quality understanding and performance in the workplace.
4) A willingness to undertake relevant study and improvement training as necessary.

Preferred Requirements

  1. CBIP Inspector.
  2. Minimum of 5 years proven knowledge and experience in the engineering industry.
  3. Minimum of 2 years proven fabrication/welding inspection
