A rewarding and stimulating career role awaits with a progressive and established design and development firm working on large scale projects.
With our client heavily involved with large scale design and development construction projects, they are seeking an experienced Design Manager - Major Projects, to join their team.
As a suitable Design Manager applicant, you will come from a Construction or Architectural background or from another relevant Design field. You will be accustomed to managing a small but skilled design team, overseeing their outputs, and contributing personally to ensure project outcomes are achieved.
Your experience will prove that you are successful at working on design projects after the preliminary design phase has been completed by others. You and your team will be responsible for the completion of the developed design, detailed design work and building consent submissions, and tenders for construction, and all aspects in-between these tasks.
You will familiar with the above work after receiving it from the preliminary design phase, and managing tender and construction documentation, and your design team's tasks that will ultimately achieve the project schedules and project delivery dates.
Part of the duties in this Design Manager - Major Projects role may from time to time include assisting other senior senior colleagues with your experienced input into design from master planning stage forward.
You will be confident in delivering developed design presentations to very senior management.
This position will also utilise any of your technical skills in terms of REVIT and BIM modelling knowledge.
For this essential and important role, the other attributes and aspects sought are:
- knowledge of large residential and apartment type design and construction projects.
- holding relevant diploma or degree level qualifications most likely in Construction or Architecture, with Revit and BIM knowledge advantageous.
- holding an NZ Licensed Building Practitioner Level 2 certificate, knowledge of Masterspec, and good working knowledge of NZ standards and the Building Code
