About the Job
The Finance function at The Warehouse Group has across the last year implemented a new centralised model and now our Finance team are in need for an Assistant Accountant.
This will be a 14-month contract for a Maternity Leave cover, starting immediately and running right up to the end of September 2019.
You’ll be working across several of our brands, managing our PCards and Gift Cards system and just for good measure you’ll be working across a couple of different GL systems too.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Entering transactions and source transactions across our core systems.
- Managing high volumes of reconciliations, investigating & resolving unreconciled items.
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts & movements in provision and accruals.
- Completing month end adjustments & reporting for discrete products or services.
About You
You'll be someone who thrives on a challenge with the proven ability to effectively handle a busy workload. There is a big element of problem solving in this role! So you’ll need to be someone who thrives on being able to get to the bottom of variances & someone who prides themselves on producing high quality & accurate data.

We're also looking for:
- Proven experience within a high-volume Accounts position, if this is within a retail environment even better.
- Strong attention to detail and a knack for problem-solving.
- Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle or Microsoft Dynamic AX
- Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel is a must.
- Customer service mind-set and excellent communication skills.
For this contract in particular we are looking for someone to start immediately!
