Taupo Hire is a locally owned family business, we hire machinery, portaloos and marquees plus much more, we service all the Central Plateau region, we are seeking an Event Hire Manager to join our team.

This is an exciting, vibrant, busy business and no two days are the same.

You will need:

• A current drivers licence is essential, with class 2 and a DG endorsement an advantage
• A “Can-do” attitude, the ability to work within, lead & motivate a great team
• The ability to use initiative
• Clear and strong communication and leadership skills
• To be well organized, motivated, self-directed, with a commitment to quality of work
• A good physical condition as this position involves some heavy lifting
• Computer skills

This position involves:

• Managing and coordinating a team of Marquee installers & Event Hire staff
• Producing timelines for events, legal obligations and staffing
• Supervising the maintenance of Event Hire equipment
• Managing client queries and troubleshooting leading up to and on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly
• Making sure that insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followed
• Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently
• Front of house customer service and helping with day to day running of the business

This is a full-time, permanent position with flexible hours and may include some weekend work as required.
