The Project Manager is required to take initial action once the project has been awarded oversee the smooth running of the job right until handover.
Your role will include but not be limited to:
- Assist in pricing and tendering of all new work as directed.
- Health and safety management
- Take lead in preparing & manage documentation for all new projects, including instruction etc to internal team, clients and sub trades.
- Procurement of key items, long lead, key trades and materials
- Negotiate with sub trades to achieve best possible price and check all work scope has been priced properly.
- Manage communication of information between client, designers, site teams and sub trades.
- Setting of project program and work schedule in conjunction with the Project Managers, CAD Team, sub-trades and Joinery Managers.
- Assist in and project manage the general overseeing of the jobs from the start to the completion in conjunction with QS, site teams & Project Managers.
- Ensure that all Variations to the Contract are documented and authorised/signed off so that they can be charged to the client appropriately - in liaison with the Project Manager and Accounts Person
- Travel around NZ and Australia for meetings, site visits and client liaison when requested.
