Our client is a well-established cost consultancy, and due to growth are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
With the Christchurch market quietening down and the Auckland market booming, there can be no better time than now to relocate and break into a Senior role!
A background working for a PQS firm is preferred and any experience as a construction QS will be beneficial. The position is paying a salary in the region of NZ$120-130k plus benefits. You will be working on a variety of projects with clients in government, health, sporting and commercial industries.
The successful candidate will have extensive pre and post contract experience, from tendering to claims. Chartered QS status (RICS or NZIQS) is ideal but not essential, large scale commercial development experience is essential. Strong communication abilities are a must.
You will provide cost consultancy services to clients in the Auckland region and across NZ. This encompasses estimating, cost planning, risk management, measuring and post-contract administration. You will bring sound cost planning expertise and have the ability to provide value engineering through to risk management advice.
You must have thorough knowledge of the below:
- Procurement options for engaging contractors
- Evaluation of tenders
- Claims and Schedules
- Financial reporting
- Programming
- Construction techniques
- Insurances
- Excellent IT and estimating software experience
