We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team based at our Gordonton Depot to help implement a variety of river and drainage work programmes within the Lower Waikato area.
This role is varied with a wide range of tasks that include; inspection and maintenance of pumpstations, floodgates, streams and drains, construction of fences, culverts and retaining walls, tree felling, erosion repairs, boat work, spraying of willows and weed growth in waterways. It is expected the successful candidate will assist with daily maintenance of vehicles, plant and equipment.
Health and safety is an important part of our work and you will ensure that all policies and practices are followed. This role is for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is available to work overtime and in emergencies such as flood monitoring and responding if required. You need to be physically fit for the work involved and available for a health assessment if required.
