An excellent opportunity has become available for a business development/client focused Quality Surveyor to join a diverse PQS where you will be working on high profile jobs for clients such as Body Corporates, Ministry of Education (MOE) and Insurers and Residential & Commercial Clients.
My client are seeking an excellent communicator and strong negotiator who holds 5 years’ plus Auckland Market Construction experience. This role is for an experienced professional with a sound background in QS’ing/Cost Management.
There is a path for progression to Directorship for this particular person as this role grows within the organisation.
Role and responsibilities:
- Assist residential and commercial property owners in the preparation of robust insurance claim settlements
- Prepare complete Scopes of Works and estimate costs of new builds, repairs, refurbishments, structural strengthening and alterations
- Preliminary elemental estimates, pre-tender and detailed estimates
- Responsible for pre- and post-contract administration and cost control
- Financial reports for clients and investors
- Procurement advice, tender documentation and tendering
- Value engineering/cost effective design solutions
- General buildability advice
- Risk management
- In liaison with the company’s building surveyors, help with costing lease reinstatement estimates and long-term maintenance plans
- Expert witness
This is an excellent position for a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager who holds strength in building client relationships from a consultancy or PQS background.
