My client is seeking a self-driven and motivated successful Hire / Rental and Sales / Busines Development Manager who is confident at creating and building relationships with a wide variety of clients from small business to large corporates. This is a new position to join a fast growing sales team. This is a sole charge position and preference will be given to applicants with a track record of success in equipment sales and/or rental/hire construction equipment. 

My client is a rapidly growing company that has earned a reputation for supplying highest quality sales and hire of a wide range of late model construction equipment. They have access to a wide range of equipment and an active service team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Account management of small business to large corporate clients
  • Strengthening current client relationships by regular communication schedule 
  • Identifying and developing new clients
  • Supporting marketing and sales planning and delivery
  • Overseeing and managing hire/rental, sales, equipment delivery and service management 


Key requirements:

  • At least 3 years in a successful equipment or trade based sales or hire/rental role
  • Experience in construction industry preferred (not essential)
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to develop strong local relationships
  • Heavy equipment licence preferred (not essential)
  • You will need to be self-motivated, be upbeat, positive and have an outgoing personality
  • Proficient business writing abilities related to pricing, quoting, lead and sales reporting.
  • Good skills with Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.


Excellent remuneration package will include base salary, bonus, vehicle, and work tools.
