The Company
Our client is one of the biggest Civil Construction Contractors in the Waikato Region. Their many clients have watched its growth to now include; earthworks, cartage, local body and highway infrastructure, subdivisions, retaining walls, minor bridge construction and repairs, coastal and river bank protection, stop bank construction, wastewater and stormwater drainage and pumping, water reticulation, siteworks, landscaping and concrete works. Due to a team member moving to Auckland they are now looking for his replacement.
The Role
This role reports directly to the Waikato Regional Manager. The purpose of this role is to be responsible for making sure all contracts have a detailed financial budget, have sub-contract and supplier agreements in accordance with quotes, have monthly claims and financial review assisting contract mangers with their monthly claims. You would be responsible for:
- Contract administration (procurement, progress claims, variation preparation, final accounts etc.) on a variety of projects
- Subcontractor Management
- Liaising with site based teams, Consultants and Clients.
- Tender preparation and analysis
- Exceptional excel, verbal and written communication skills.

- Able to work without supervision in a timely and accurate manner
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor (the client is open to the level of experience required)
- No qualification required but is a bonus. Experience is more important.
