Site Supervisor | Roading & Asphalt

Cromwell based position

Company Overview: New Zealand owned and operated mid-tier civil contractor, specialising in Asphalt construction and surfacing. As market leaders, they pride themselves on raising the standard with quality, service and health & safety.

The Role: Due to continuous growth and a strong pipeline of work in the Central Otago region, there is an opportunity for an experienced Supervisor to join the team with a view to taking the overall responsibility for day to day management of an operational crew based out of Cromwell. You will be responsible for pre and post site inspections and will be directly involved with the organization of plant and labour hire. In this role you will be ensuring that the quality of work is up to scratch. This is a company who support their team and encourage internal promotions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable liaising with clients and other sub-contractors on site.  

Skills, Attributes & Experience:

• Proven experience managing multi-discipline civil construction crews (Ideally 3-5 years)
• Prior experience in Roading & Asphalt will be an advantage
• Experience managing logistics & scheduling resources
• Basic IT skills - use of spread-sheets, email etc.
• Strong verbal & written communication
• A strong OH&S track record and strong general safety awareness
• The ability to drive performance and meet targets

This role would come with a very competitive salary on offer plus car, phone and laptop. If the right candidate isn't currently based in the Central Otago region there might be a relocation package offered.
