Livingstone has been Building Excellence within the industrial and commercial sector for over 30 years. During this time the industry has grown immensely, and our company is now sizeable enough to warrant the need for a Construction Manager who will ensure that our four regional teams work tirelessly to deliver our projects on time, to budget and to our client’s standards.
The Construction Manager’s primary function will be to develop and lead a continuous improvement culture based on best practice construction guidelines. You will also develop a national resourcing plan to ensure efficient and effective allocation across all projects in each region, conduct project review and lessons learnt assessments and drive a national zero defects process to ensure quality is at the fore-front of what we do.
To be successful in the role you will need:
- 10 years’ experience in a hands-on Construction or Project Management position
- 5 years’ management experience
- Experience working in the construction industry
In addition, you will need
- Trade qualification in an area relevant to the construction industry
- Tertiary qualification in business or management an advantage
- Ability to travel regularly
- Knowledge of CCA 2002 and relevant construction contracts e.g. NZIA General Conditions of Contract, NZS3910 General Conditions of Contract
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to accurately manage budgets, identify variance and potential financial risks
