An opportunity is available for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our company. The main role will be ensuring the efficient management of all functions within the QS team.
Your role will involve:
- Measuring and describing the work including the preparation of tender documentation and negotiation with contractors
- Detailed budgets and cost plans
- Contract Administration
- Tender submissions and client liaison
- Preparing and interpreting turnover / cash flow projections and profit / loss forecasts
- Undertaking the valuing of variations and potential variations
- Preparation and agreement of final accounts
We are looking for:
- 3-5 years’ experience as Quantity Surveyor (NZ experience a must!)
- Relevant tertiary degree
- A trades background is a plus
- Ability to confidently navigate around sites and communicate with the wider project team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and knowledgeable intermediate quantity surveyor that has the skill set that covers commercial and residential projects.
This type of person we are seeking is one that will just “get amongst it”, sort the issues, produce great work and loves a challenge. You must be able to roll with the punches and know how to estimate with ease.
