Our client is a specialised contracting company meeting the needs of the construction and manufacturing industries in New Zealand and around the Pacific. They have a large group of experienced team members and are a recognised achiever in the more difficult project tasks, maintenance and construction shut work at major installations such as power stations, cement works and pulp and paper plants.
The role:
To prepare work to be estimated or tendered by gathering proposals, blueprint’s, specifications and related documents whilst identifying labour, material and time requirements. Key responsibilities:
- Produce tenders on time to cover all our client’s services
- Provide excellent customer service
- Budgeting, programming and planning of resources
- Business Development
- Sub-Contractor agreement’s
- Reporting

- Health & Safety
- Professional Development
The Ideal Candidate:
- Project Management qualification or equivalent
- Full clean class 1 license
- 1-2 years’ experience estimating in construction or similar industry
- Proven organisational ability
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in scaffolding, rigging or heavy industrial maintenance
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong customer effectiveness / relationship building skills
- Sound commercial judgement
- Numerical skills / financial understanding
- Ability to work well under pressure
