Reporting to the Chief Executive, the General Manager Infrastructure Services is a key member of the executive team, responsible for providing leadership to the Council’s essential infrastructure services including Transportation, 3 Waters, Waste and Environmental Solutions. With responsibility for a large operational budget and 300 staff, this role is a key contributor to the strategic leadership of the Council, representing an exceptional opportunity to lead significant high-profile projects shaping the future of the City of Dunedin.
This is an extremely attractive opportunity for experienced local government leaders or high-potential candidates who have successfully delivered high visibility capital projects and managed multi-faceted business functions across multiple teams. Candidates of interest will be commercially astute, possess a tertiary qualification in civil engineering and have demonstrated success with strategic leadership, asset management planning and building capability. A track record developing positive working relationships with diverse stakeholder groups, as well as a collaborative and values-based leadership style and a strong critical thinking ability are essential.
