A medium-sized, growing business with a close interface with its community seeks to appoint a commercially-astute Chief Financial Officer to assume responsibility for the finances and information systems of this iconic company.
The Chief Financial Officer will be accountable for the finance, treasury, audit, pricing, investments and business systems and will ensure accurate and insightful information is provided to the Chief Executive, senior leadership team and other key stakeholders.
To be effective, the Chief Financial Officer will have a wide perspective in monitoring, evaluating and enhancing the company’s performance. With the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer will contribute to the maximisation of business performance through the provision of robust analysis, risk management and new strategic initiatives, while also ensuring corporate compliance.
As a key contributor to the strategic direction of the business and a pivotal member of the senior leadership team, the Chief Financial Officer will bring a robust financial background, astute commercial and strategic judgement, superior intellect, decisiveness and a pragmatic style.
Strong interpersonal competencies, fluent written and verbal communication and the ability to establish and maintain external relationships as the business grows its relationship with the local community. The appointee is likely to be domiciled in the vicinity of Hamilton, Te Awamutu or Cambridge and will be a Chartered Accountant with a business degree.
Previous financial management roles as Finance Manager, Group Financial Controller or Chief Financial Officer, preferably with experience in a regulated or high-volume transactional environment is sought.
