Overview
Waste Management’s business is “so much more than skips and bins”.  As specialists in resource recovery, recycling and waste management, they are innovative in technology and agile in responding to an evolving and dynamic industry.  One of their integrated businesses is Living Earth, a large organic waste to composting company making a difference to many great gardens, healthy crops, and exciting city green areas.
  
Position
The role manages the full business profile for the Living Earth’s Auckland and Waikato operation, including responsibility for leadership of two plants and the achievement of the annual commercial plans, profit targets and strategic objectives. With the main site poised for significant investment, managing the development will be a focus while delivering current optimal performance. Responsibilities encompass business, technical, operations and people elements, with relationship management and stakeholder engagement highly important to success.

Person
Characteristically for a leader at this level, you will have sound commercial acuity, and experience in running operations of a process nature likely to be in engineering, forestry, mining or manufacturing sectors. A degree in Mechanical Engineering and business are preferred qualifications. Collaborative and forward thinking are the attributes aligned to your peers that enable this company to continually develop their services in a sustainable, progressive way.  Being curious and action oriented have contributed to their success to date.  With exceptional interpersonal skills, you are comfortable influencing internal and external decision makers, creating cohesive teams that are focused on achieving the vision and company goals.
