BTW Company (BTW) has put its roots down in Hamilton and now needs a Branch Manager ready and motivated to expand operations in the Waikato and beyond.

Operating since 1973, BTW is an innovative, solutions-focused group of Surveyors, Engineers, Planners, Environmental Scientists, UAV pilots, 3D Scanning Specialists, and Land and GIS experts. BTW’s staff of over 60 professionals are leaders in their fields with unparalleled experience on projects, both in New Zealand and overseas. BTW’s multidisciplinary teams operate from offices in New Plymouth and Hamilton, with the latter opening in 2017.

This is a rare opportunity for a Branch Manager to join the Hamilton Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible managing client projects across Sectors, maintaining existing relationships and developing new practices and processes which will benefit BTW.

You will be driven, motivated and motivating, professional, experienced and adaptable and responsive to our existing DNA and to the needs of your team and clients.

YOU WILL ALSO:

  • In collaboration with the Managing Director (MD) and Sector Directors, develop an annual operating plan that supports the strategic plan.
  • Present new ideas and cash flow strategies to the Board of Directors.
  • Identify and implement innovative technologies that will directly improve BTW’s operational or strategic goals.
  • Assist the MD and Directors in developing and overseeing the long-term strategy.
  • Actively contribute to the overall strategic direction of BTW’s Hamilton Branch by participating fully as a member of the Management Team.

YOU WILL NEED:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership position.
  • Industry knowledge in Surveying, Engineering, Planning or Environmental Science.
  • To maintain full membership in either the New Zealand Surveyors, Engineering or Planning Institutes (NZIS, IPENZ, NZPI).
  • In excess of 10 years’ experience post-degree in contract and project management.
  • The ability to influence and sustain relationships with staff, customers, and contractors.
  • Experience in human resources principles and practices including personnel management and development.
  • The ability to understand new issues and technology and to make a sound judgment on them.
  • A can-do, problem-solving attitude and to lead by example.
