About The Role

Our friendly and motivated scheduling team are accountable for ensuring that BP bulk fuel customers receive their fuel requirements while balancing a range of priorities and factors. Reporting into the Distribution Manager the main objective of the Distribution Planner role is to manage inventory levels throughout the network and provide functional support for the Drivers, Carriers, DSC, Distributors, Contractors and other business partners. This is an exciting entry point to BP from where your career can flourish in multiple directions.

Role Responsibilities:

• Preparing delivery schedules to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operations.
• Scheduling deliveries daily, according to customer requirements, resource, stock availability, BP standards and guidelines.
• Ensuring that scheduled trips do not breach New Zealand law or BP HSSE policies.
• Reconciling planned delivery volumes against delivered volumes.
• Working with the Capability Development Lead and the Logistics Analyst and Systems Support to develop effective measures and information capture processes associated with the scheduling function.
• Monitoring personal planning performance, in conjunction with individual and team KPI’s, identify issues and implement actions to resolve them.
• Liaising with business managers and customers with regards to validation of data.
• Responding to communications relating to delivery shifts which include making relevant changes in the scheduling system, communicating changes made to all key stakeholders and ensuring fleet efficiency is maintained effectively.
• Performing Post-Event scheduling which include entering relevant orders such as changes to original plans identified either by Reconciliation Administrators or from other validations.
