Our client is a sought after provider of innovative building products to commercial construction projects. To support business and expansion into NZ we are on the search for BDM for newly created position in NZ.

The overall purpose of these positions is to coordinate and nurture the sales process and drive brand awareness initiatives in New Zealand.

The successful candidates would be described as persons who enjoy networking and are naturally motivated by relationship building and the sales process. The best candidates will thrive on the growth challenges set for the organisation and enjoy working toward stretch targets.  

To be a successful candidate, you will ideally have a demonstrated track record in the construction & building industry and be known for excellence with regard to your specification and product knowledge.  Your industry relationships will be highly regarded as you transition to a new product range.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Promotion of a portfolio of products across the Architectural and Building & Construction sectors;
  • Undertake sales based activities to increase conversion of proposals to orders within your assigned geographical footprint.
  • Relationship development across Design Architecture & Construction organisations;
  • Attend to operation tasks as part of the sales and installation process such as site inspections.
  • Staying abreast of key market structural design trends;
  • Product presentations & brand awareness initiatives such as ARC nights
  • Provision of technical product advice & market intelligence to support pre-sales activities.
  • Strategising with the internal marketing team regarding promotion and business development initiatives.
  • Regular analyse of BDM activities and sales performance for the organisation and provide management reporting.

To be considered for this role you will:

  • Demonstrated strong business development, sales and customer service experience within previous roles.
  • Quantifiable achievement and growth results from previously held positions.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and have previous experience learning new software.
  • Have well-developed communication and problem solving skills.
  • Have excellent time and task management skills along with previous use of a CRM system.
  • Have the ability to work with a close knit team who are geographically spread between Australian and NZ. 
  • Have demonstrated influencing and a skilled negotiating skills.

A competitive salary package + superannuation, car and phone will be negotiable dependent on your industry experience and/or formal qualifications.
