Business Development Manager - Marine Sector

Your new company
My client is a leading distributor of the world’s finest diesel and gas engines and power systems across the most dynamic on- and off-highway markets in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific - including trucking, mining, power generation, C&I, rail, marine, agriculture, oil & gas and defence.


Your new role
Due to continued growth they have a new Product Business Development role to join the team in their South Auckland depot. Key objective to your role is in the marine sector, is to promote and sell the brand to dominate the market. You'll have an existing client base to work from initially but to increase your portfolio and grow revenue is a must to your job, with upgrading products to your existing customers and bringing on new ones.


What you'll need to succeed

• previous experience in similar industry or have a natural interests towards
• trade qualification in diesel mechanics or related field or mechanical engineering qualification at degree or cert level is highly desirable
• knowledge of the application of generator sets, engines and associated componentry
• problem solving techniques to technical and related issues
• ideally 3-5 yrs sales exp
