About the role:

Synnex New Zealand is expanding our Lenovo sales team and we are looking for an added Product Specialist to our Lenovo lineup. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • To own Lenovo product range target for the distributor
  • To identify, qualify, manage and close new business opportunities for Lenovo's Products
  • To assist the Distributor sales team with the provision of configurations and quoting as required.
  • To provide Lenovo sales assistance to the Distributor's country wide sales teams to meet reseller needs.
  • To assist the reseller community (i.e. indirect resellers) with tender responses
  • To demonstrate and present to resellers and/or internal staff to show-case Lenovo products roadmaps, strategies, technology and solutions.
  • To assist in the development and implementation of the Distributor's strategies to enable the rapid adoption of Lenovo's product campaigns and programs.
  • To develop an understanding of competitive pressures and business needs.
  • To act as a Lenovo Product evangelist within the Distributor and keep the Lenovo Partner Business Manager informed of opportunities, roadblocks, market intelligence and competitive activity to achieve superior sales success.
  • To create a channel buying preference for Lenovo Product solutions and products
  • To develop and maintain close co-operative contact with the Lenovo sales community ensuring timely information exchange and problem resolution.
  • To maintain a level of knowledge to be considered an expert in the field of Lenovo Product solutions.
  • To promote and attend Lenovo events within the distributor and to the distributor customer base (ie, New Product Introductions and product launches).

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and or Experience:
TAFE certificate or university degree; or two to more years' related experience with a reputable distributor.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Lenovo Specialist will be required to maintain and supply Lenovo with:
  • Weekly and quarterly forecasts
  • Monthly quotation pipeline
  • Closed loop lead generation information to Lenovo
  • Significantly increase Lenovo product focus and knowledge within the Distributor.
  • Improve technical competence and product offering accuracy.
  • Enable sales focus and dedication to Lenovo product opportunities for the Distributor's reseller community.
  • Increase productivity and Lenovo product knowledge within the Distributor's sales teams.
  • Grow Lenovo product revenue within the reseller community, including the broader base.
  • Provide sustained and predicable funding to invest in this capability.
  • Ability to build new and effective business relationships in a professional manner while providing optimal customer service.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and requirements and also the ability understand the market requirements and needs.
  • Ability to be proactive and perform daily call outs.
