The Role

As a Lighting Consultant based in Wellington, you will have both the autonomy and support to grow product sales in the Central North Island Region. Reporting to our National Sales Manager, you will contribute to our success by taking ownership of the following daily responsibilities:

  • Servicing, developing and maintaining established and new customers from architectural and engineering practices by providing technical support and lighting solutions to meet project expectations (Wellington / Central North Island focus);
  • Plan, implement and support company and personal sales-marketing activities e.g. product launches, promotions, and advertising;
  • Maximise the use of company CRM (Salesforce) to manage and track sales pipeline, marketing activity and generate relevant reports; and
  • Work alongside the operations team to help manage project delivery and co-ordination.

About you

This role leverages your ability to build rapport, manager relationships and secure ongoing project specifications. With that in mind, we would like you to bring your customer centric approach into our sales team and would love to hear from you if you:

  • Are enthusiastic, motivated and driven to build your sales and lighting industry career;
  • Can demonstratable success and experience within a similar solution selling role within the Construction industry, ideally within Lighting;
  • Have aptitude for technical products, with a proven ability to communicate product specifications, retain product information and incorporate lateral thinking skills;
  • Can collaborate, communicate and integrate with the wider MHL team, with a view to achieve both company and personal success;
  • Have the skills to create presentations and the confidence to present to wide and varied audiences; and
  • Are a self starter who can function in a sole person environment.
