We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to develop additional revenue streams for Adulttoymegastore!

The role will focus on the development of new business opportunities including nation-wide party planning, events, and wholesale supply.

Based in Wellington, just up the road from Courtenay Place, Adulttoymegastore.co.nz has become the biggest online retailer for adult toys in New Zealand, has entered the Australian market, and is looking beyond.

Adulttoymegastore is launching an events and party planning segment of the business, and we are looking for a business development superstar to take this exciting project by the horns!

You will;

1. Be the driving force behind Adulttoymegastore’s party plan & events business. Strategic planning, recruitment of planners, launch, ongoing growth & development and reporting on business performance.
2. Develop and deliver a growth plan for the wholesale supply of toys and lingerie in NZ

To be successful in this role you will need to be a self-starter with excellent time management and organisational skills. You must be self-managing and have the drive to apply yourself diligently to perform the right activities each and every day to achieve outstanding results.

Requirements

• Ability to build strong long term relationships with customers and party plan team members
• Proven experience in event planning or project management.
• Proven ability to create business strategies and execute them.
• Excellent time management, communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work a sales opportunity to success.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to research and identify opportunities and customers’ needs

Responsibilities

• Create a strategic plan for our New Zealand nationwide party plan and event business.
• Create all processes, documentation and collateral required.
• Grow a team of talented and passionate party planners.  Motivate individuals to drive sales.
• Conduct market research, identify event opportunities and generate interest. Execute nationwide events as required.
• Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations.
