About the Role:
Total sales and operational responsibility of a gorgeous furniture showroom, development and motivation of a senior Sales team and the leader of one of Australia's strongest performers in the furniture industry, this is an opportunity for a senior Sales Manager to take the lead of a successful brand and take it to the top of the market in Auckland.
Nick Scali is about to open a gorgeous new showroom in Hamilton and we are looking for a superstar, career minded retail leader to grow our team as we open highly anticipated new showrooms in Auckland. Nick Scali is a name that embodies elegance and sophistication and we are looking for a applicant that can emulate that vision in everything that they do.
You will be a born leader with mentoring and development of your team in mind all the while creating a retailing experience like no other for the dedicated followers of the Nick Scali brand. This role will have you across all the analytics of the business by way of monitoring the teams KPI's and managing your sales budgets and operational expenditure. You will develop a roster that suitably covers your showroom with the best sales people in your area to support the stunning product displayed in your showroom.
You will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Ensure team members uphold the highest level of customer service.
  • Communicate with local lead clients to ensure best possible customer experience and encourage new customers to your store.
  • Train and develop the sales teams to maximise sales.
  • Create and encourage a motivating store environment to bring new talented sales people to your business.
  • Monitor and manage all store based KPI's.
  • Manage store rosters to maximise showroom coverage.
  • Look at market opportunities to improve brand awareness in your local area and drive traffic into store.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of visual merchandising throughout the showroom.
  • Performance manage your sales team to close sales gaps and increase strength within your team.
  • Diligently work towards the growth of your management team to ensure the growth of the company by creating detailed succession plans.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for your team and customers, adhering to all work cover standards.

  • Can demonstrate a proven track record in selling high-ticket items
  • Can detail an understanding of retail management in similar environments
  • Can give examples of meeting and exceeding Retail KPI's
  • Understand the true definition of customer service experience and deliver this attitude to our customers every day
  • Have a desire for professional growth and development
  • Define yourself as a leader of people and show results supporting and developing the sales teams around you
  • Show high levels of attention to detail, you do not miss a thing
  • Have an excellent eye for detail and can show a history in visual merchandising
  • Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Have experience performance managing sales teams
  • Have a genuine interest in people and can engage with them
  • Have a strong desire to maximise your earning potential
  • Are able to work on Saturdays and Sundays and enjoy time off during the week.
