THE COMPANY
Cervus Equipment, your local John Deere dealer who operate in eight locations across the North Island with a ninth branch soon to open. They provide an extensive John Deere product range that includes residential and commercial ride-on mowers, large and compact tractors, agricultural equipment, golf and turf products and more. They also offer a full range of services, including after-sales support, parts, servicing and finance. THE ROLE
With continual growth and expansion upon the horizon, and a new branch opening soon in Te Puke, Cervus Equipment are currently seeking a passionate and hungry Turf/Compact & Commercial Sales Representative. Working out of the new Te Puke branch, you will be responsible for selling a range of machinery from ride-on lawn mowers through to lifestyle sized machines. Although mainly dealing with ‘retail’ based transactions there will also be some commercial style customers like golf courses, small contractors, hire centres who you will visit and subsequently build and retain strong relationships with. This would require Saturday work in the peak season, as this is when most retail sales occur.  
 
THE PERSON
The ideal candidate will be proactive, inquisitive, hungry, dedicated and articulate. Fundamental to your success in this role will be your ability to quickly build rapport with customers, understand their needs and requirements, before then closing the sale and building the foundations for a long lasting relationship. You do not need previous agribusiness experience, but you will need a demonstrable sales background and a desire to grow your own business portfolio.
