The company is a privately-owned business specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of building supplies and the accompanying hardware and fittings.
The group has enjoyed considerable growth through acquisition and organic growth strategies. All subsidiaries specialize in different areas within the wider building industry.
The brand you will be representing is a specialized building product which is manufactured using quality raw materials here in New Zealand. The product has been heavily developed in the past 12 months to ensure the product matches or exceeds the properties of the competitors. The company has also invested heavily in the marketing of this product.
The Role
As an account manager you will maintain and expand relationships primarily with builders but also the construction industry, architects and designers.
You will take initiative to assess, clarify and validate customer needs and connect them with the correct merchant to fulfill their needs. You will be representing a high quality New Zealand made brand and will take pride in doing so.
Weekly reporting to the North Island sales manager on quotations, visits and follow ups on quotes will be required.
The Person
You will be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and exceed performance expectations.
You will be reactive and attentive to customers needs and possess the ability to maintain and grow strong relationships in the wider building industry.
