Scott Machinery is a leading importer and distributor of engineering machinery, machine tools and accessories. We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic member to join the Christchurch team in a full time permanent role.

This exciting role requires someone who can build good solid relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues, process data accurately, has good time management skills and is a quick learner and self-starter.

This is a varied role, liaising with a variety of people, you'll be responsible for sourcing, quoting and ongoing supply of accessories & spare parts for engineering machinery.

Roles and responsibilities will include:

• Store keeping
• Customer contact for saw blading, machinery tooling & other accessories and spare parts.
• Point of sale invoicing and customer assistance
• Handling inwards & outwards courier & small goods
• Identifying, quoting & supplying of spare parts
• Forklift driving (but not necessary)

The successful applicant will have the following skills and attributes:

• Good presentation and interpersonal skills
• Good computing skills
• A technical, mechanical understanding or fitting & turning experience
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• To be able to work to deadlines & under pressure
• Good attitude & be able to work in a team environment
• Hold a full and current drivers licence and have a suitable standard of fitness and health

This job requires someone with great attention to detail. It is a challenging role demanding a clear thinking and highly organised person with a positive can-do attitude.
