The Company

This global brand business offers exceptional support to their staff and customers & ensures that they provide up to date & innovative products on a global scale across a number of industries including the building & construction channel. From flooring to fit out, they are an international leader in their field. 

The Role

Currently the entire Auckland / Northland territory is covered by one rep and to ensure that all clients receive quality service, the company has decided to split the territory in two to accommodate their client's needs. Reporting to the National Sales Managers across their trade & industry channels this role would suit someone who has established sales experience and  is able to connect with a variety of customer & client contacts.  Proven experience as a 'self-starter' within a sales driven capacity will work to your advantage as will your ability to continue to build effective & trusted business relationships.   

This is a fantastic opportunity to continue to work with building merchants & industry accounts however it also offers the opportunity to work with architects and specifiers (10-15% of role) to help build on the company's commercial specifications within the area. Full training and support will be on offer for this part of the role if required.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer's product & service needs across an existing portfolio of key accounts
  • Assist with product knowledge & training requirements where necessary both in store and out in the field
  • Provide marketing advice & promotional material to customers and attend required trade show events
  • Stay up to play with in-store merchandising & handle stock management for allocated stores
  • Attend trade breakfasts & joint meetings with trade / industry representatives
  • Work with the company's dedicated architectural representative to help secure new commercial opportunities

Skills & Experience

  • Proven sales experience handling key accounts within the building and / or trade channels
  • Ability to be self-motivate & driven (with a competitive nature) & results driven
  • Experience working towards call-cycles as well call to action
  • Must be comfortable presenting and training technical based building products both in store and on site
  • Ambition to continue their learning & development within the building industry
