The purpose of an Aconex Senior BDM is to promote and sell Aconex’s global market-leading cloud-based project controls and information management solutions. 

You will be undertaking business development, sales prospecting and negotiation activities across the construction, mining, oil & gas and utilities sectors.

We are looking for an independent, mature and responsible Senior BDM who strives for sales and has a good grasp of the Software Sales industry in WA. Senior enterprise sales experience in the project controls, project cost management and project management software industries would be advantageous.

You will be someone who plans their time effectively to ensure maximum productivity for client meetings.  You will be able to quickly understand the business within WA and the factors that influence spending patterns. 

From this you will have the ability to identify new key clients and set goals and plans for securing them.  Gaining a thorough understanding of competitors’ products in terms of positioning, features and benefits, pricing and account acquisition strategies is also critical.

As Senior BDM, you will also represent the business at regional events in place of senior management, when required.

For the above, you will receive a very competitive salary package and uncapped commission structure.  You will be working with the Global Number One in your field and have the opportunity to grow while working with leaders in the field.

Here are some essential requirements:

  • Independent and self-driven, consistently met and exceeded sales targets (solid career track record in sales)

  • Over 10 years of software (preferably SaaS, though not essential) sales experience

  • Experience and success in selling Project Controls (Ecosys, Unifier, Prolog, Prism), ERP, EAM or similar

  • Excellent computer literacy with a variety of software packages

  • Be a cold calling gun and, despite being ‘senior’, not be averse to ‘getting your hands’ dirty on a daily basis (no prima donnas, please)

 
Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory (mainly Tier 3 accounts).

Primary job duty is to sell business applications software/solutions and related services to prospective and existing customers. Manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning. Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application. Participate in the development, presentation and sales of a value proposition. Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale. Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience including 7 years of sales experience. Successful sales track record. Ability to penetrate accounts, meet with stakeholders within accounts. Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle*s competitors. Interaction with C level players. Team player with strong interpersonal /communication skills. Excellent communication/negotiating/closing skills with prospects/customers. Travel may be needed. Bachelor degree or equivalent.
