The markets we serve include top echelon residential homes through to mid-size industrial/commercial developments. Your role will be to develop solutions and sales for your clients - homeowners, interior designers, architects, builders and developers. This will require an ability to interpret building plans and drawings, and an understanding of design, measurement, installation, project management and home automation options. You will be required to apply your technology related expertise to design and install motorized “smart” products.
Your day will involve travelling to meet with clients, designing window treatment solutions, producing drawings, preparing quotations, managing and following up with clients and jobs to ensure our professional service is the best. Due to your technical expertise, you will be called upon to provide technical sales training to other staff as required.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced at selling blind or shutter solutions
- Creative in identifying sales leads through market research and cold calling
- Able to manage, develop and maintain good relationships with current and potential clients
- Self-motivated with a drive for results
- Competent in the use of Excel spread-sheets, on-line ordering applications and Email, complimented with good writing skills
- Capable of communicating professionally in English (both in writing and verbally) and engaging with customers to understand their needs
- Capable of designing customised solutions that may include motorised and technological solutions
- Willing and able to liaise with operations to ensure jobs are realistic with the correct information and able to be manufactured and delivered on time
- Organised and skilled at time management
- Capable of physically demanding work and completing product installations to strict tolerances and high quality using a variety of power tools
- Willing to travel outside of the Bay of Plenty region and attend regular training sessions and home shows as required
- Able to report on market, product and competitor information and trends to inform management and decision-making
