The Role:

We are looking for an agile and dynamic Senior Key Account Manager to join our IT & Mobile team in Auckland. This is a rare opportunity to join one of the top performing mobile teams in SE Asia in a fast paced and always changing industry.

What you’ll do at Samsung Electronics NZ:

Customer Development

  • Actively seek and develop business opportunities that will lead to profitable sales growth across all Mobile products.
  • Challenge and work with Commercial Head to shape business models to accelerate sales growth
  • Define the distribution and channel strategy for your account that maximises Samsung market position
  • Define the promotion strategy that drives significant ROI through disciplined use of analytics and measurement
  • Be the central point of contact for flagship product launches in the nominated accounts

Financial targets

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Achieve the relevant Samsung portfolio financial goals in terms of units, revenue, margin and market share

Operations

  • Close management of customer forecasts through supply chain management team for stock forecast and strive to ensure stock availability

People Leadership

  • Management and leadership of the Key Accounts direct reports
  • Active contribution to the Mobile Sales and Marketing meetings as well as the Sales and Operations meetings.
  • Ensure foundations, structure and communication in place to develop and lead a highly performing team both for direct and indirect reports

What you will bring:

Our Ideal candidate will have 8-10 years relevant experience preferably within FMCG, Telecommunications or Consumer Electronics, with proven experience managing an account team. Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded but are not essential.
