The role, located in Hamilton, will focus on maximising the effectiveness of direct field sales by producing a high level of sales support and increase quality value add and working as a team towards agreed targets within the Industrial division.

    Key responsibilities includes nut not limited to:

  • Provide high quality service for incoming and outbound calls from customers and prospects related to leads, quotes or orders
  • Leads registration, qualification and distribution
  • Selected quote creation, follow-up, revision and closing
  • Nurturing of high-value leads and high-potential dormant customers
  • Identify opportunities, produce leads and book appointments for the sales force with the emphasis on high quality leads
  • Customer prospecting by on demand lead generation
  • Updates job knowledge by studying new customer
  • Demonstrate customer benefits by understanding and providing simple technical solution to customer requirements.
  • Able to resolve basic product problems faced by the customers
  • Advocate key MT values  to customers

Key desired attributes include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • A working understanding of the weighing industry (desired but not required)
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • High level of enthusiasm
  • Excellent customer service skills - listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as a team player.
  • Excellent ability with web and electronic tools.
  • Experience in a similar technical sales role.

Previous experience in phone-based sales or customer service roles and use of Salesforce.com will be highly regarded.

COMPENSATION:

Successful candidate will receive a base Salary + Commission + Superannuation dependent on experience
