Automotive Supplies Ltd (ASL) is one of the largest automotive distribution companies in New Zealand. The Role

In this role you will be based on the road visiting our key clients, ensuring those relationships are maintain and also seeking out opportunity to build further. As the main point of contact for our clients, you will ensure their account is well looked after, assisting them with all of their product/ ordering needs and ensuring that we provide a level of service superior to our competitors. There is also an element of new business to this role, with a key focus of the role seeking out new business.

  • Visiting our trade customers and discussing their account needs
  • Developing and maintaining a structured itinerary
  • Building lasting business relationships with new and existing customers
  • Providing accurate and friendly advice superior to that of our competitors
  • Liaising with our in store Trade Specialists to ensure our key clients are well looked after

Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous sales experience in a relationship-based sales role - as a sales representative or account manager
  • Achievement orientated, enthusiastic, motivated and a team player
  • Proven ability to increase profit margins and grow market share
  • A friendly and positive attitude
  • Automotive experience preferred, but not essential
  • Willingness to learn!
