The Company:

Our client is New Zealand's premier Commercial Leasing company that provide an Asset leasing solution, that enables businesses to enjoy the best finance arrangements, when making purchases for their businesses.  Business customers can make their purchases under a lease agreement, enabling them utilise the many business support benefits, such as; insurances, product replacement, product upgrades, tax benefits, all the time keeping their cash to use elsewhere in their business. Business growth can continue with the support of financing their assets.

The Role:

On their behalf, we are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to continue to increase sales growth within the Commercial Business channel. 

Initially the role will have as strong new business focus, as a larger amount of your activity will be spent developing new Dealer Reseller Partners. The candidate for this role must be first and foremost a Hunter, but with the relationship building skills to further build the new relationships to grow a long term and profitable relationship.

 You will be talking to commercial customers in industries where assets can be financed. (Any type of hardware, equipment, vehicles, manufacturing machinery, medical equipment's, capital equipment...etc.... the scope is wide).

Responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and develop relationships with new and existing dealers
  • Sell the value proposition & sales programme to dealer reseller partners
  • Understand expertly the benefits of leasing (particularly operating leases) and the ability to overcome objections
  • Manage individual sales pipeline
  • Be accountable for the relationship development of identified 'National' dealer partnerships within your defined territory
  • Develop and manage sales training and development programmes for dealer partners
  • Develop support and follow-up on-going sales training across dealer partners
  • Ensure that you budgeted sales targets are achieved.

You:

  • Demonstrable track record in new business sales - 3+ years
  • Proven experience in identifying, prospecting, engaging and developing new clients
  • Strong capability in sales process, organisation and planning
  • Demonstrate strong pipeline management experience
  • Strong business presentation skills. Ability to pitch the solutions in a meaningful way.
  • Upbeat and engaging with influential skills that foster collaboration and drive for results
  • Someone who naturally gets alongside their partners and creates effective positive relationships.
  • Some finance experience would be welcomed. (Not necessary....you can learn)
  • A strong closer of business. Focused on achieving sales targets
  • Hardworking, Energetic and Ambitious and Accountable
  • Ability to travel
