We have a full-time vacancy for an National Account Manager in our Auckland office. This role is responsible for managing the customer service and key account management teams, focusing on improving customer retention and experience.
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, so ideally you will have a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar management role.
Your tasks
- Define and communicate the Customer improvement plan by fully engaging with direct reports and the wider Schenker Group.
- Responsible for improving, implementing, monitoring and adjusting customer retention strategies and processes to support the efficient and effective achievement of Schenker’s commercial objectives
- Develop and support innovation strategies and activities to support existing/new products and services to retain customers and increase profitability from existing clients.
- Facilitate and support the renewal tender and commercial proposals of existing business via the AU Tender Management team.
- Lead, manage, coach, develop and inspire the NZ Program and KAM teams (KAMS) as required.

- Professional and competent when dealing with external and internal clients
- Experience of operating in a multi-channel customer facing environment is essential
- Strategic planning & delivery leadership
- Experience of operational management and leadership of teams
- Project Leadership on a multi-site, multe-stakeholder level
- Financial and budget accountability
- Exceptional organisational skills along with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advance computer skills (MS Word, Excel etc)
