Hours
- This role offers early starts – from 5am – and similarly early finish
- Start 5am to around 1 or 2pm – Monday, Wednesday & Friday
- Start 7.30am to 2pm – Tuesday & Thursday
- 40 hours per week
Duties
This role is hands-on. Yes, you will be leading a small team, harnessing their respective strengths so that you can all be as effective as possible – but you will also be doing much of the same work as them. There will be nothing you ask of your team that you are not equally comfortable doing yourself.
With passion, energy and drive you will both support and inspire.
In this busy Wholesale Department, your focus will be on:
- Supporting your team, so they have the skills to confidently acquire new business and grow the revenue received from existing clients
- Consulting with others in the wider business, as you take the lead in all commercial aspects of the sale – including ensuring adequate stock and setting sales KPI’s and product sales margins
- You will be prudent in expenditure and careful in the management of inventory to meet supply – whilst taking care to minimise wastage
- Through marketing emails and regular chats with clients, you will keep up to speed with their changing requirements and you will ensure that they are constantly up-to-speed with the products you have available
Salary

What you need to have
Three things will give you an edge over other applicants:
- A strong sales background – preferably gained in an environment where it was essential to establish long-term partnerships with your clients
- Business acumen – being smart in the management of your division’s finances, and the ability to plan both for short-term gains and consistent, long-term revenue growth
- Team leadership – lead by example, motivate, foster a culture where others can have a laugh and enjoy coming to work
An average to above average level of computer literacy will be essential, as will a quick and accurate data entry speed.
