About the business

Our client is a well respected leader in the Home Building market, particularly throughout the Franklin region.  They have been in business for over 14 years and continue to go from strength to strength.  With some of the best marketing and designs in the business, you'll be set up for success.  They are looking for an experienced sales person with a minimum 5 years sales experience in either a Business Development or Account Management role dealing with large value sales.  Previous experience in the residential building industry is advantageous but not essential.

About the role

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients through the duration of the sales process and home construction
  • Host the Display Home(s) as per the roster, representing the business in a professional and knowledgeable manner at all times
  • Sell homes ensuring that sales targets are met or exceded
  • Guiding clients through the building contract 
  • Preparing sales tenders in collaboration with the Quantity Surveyor
  • Follow and maintain the integrity of company current sales processes
  • Record, process and file all client information through to completion of the sales process in company's system
  • Prompt follow up of all generated leads through Show Home and general enquiry
  • Provide weekly sales reports and forecasts to enable more effective business planning
  • Enter all leads/opportunities/potential clients/contacts gained daily into company's system
  • Attend all sales training and sales team meetings as required

Networking and Business Development

  • Network with local Real Estate professionals and other relevant industry contacts to build opportunities
  • Assist with advertising and marketing initiatives including attending trade shows as required
  • Keep abreast of developments in the building industry and consumer demand

Skills and experience

You will have:

  • Relationship focused sales experience 
  • A minimum of 5 years sales experience in either a New Business Development (BDM) or Account Management role dealing with high value sales
  • Residential construction industry knowledge is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided to the right candidate
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to listen and tailor solutions to best meet clients budgets and home function and design requirements
  • Good planning, organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent people skills (able to build and maintain strong relationships)
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills

You will be:
