Role: Store Manager with some technical and mechanical requirement. Strong sales drive essential, also focused on customer service. 

We are NZ's only national e-bike specialist retailer. We are based in central Tauranga and pride ourselves on excellent service and advice.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to join us in servicing our retail and business customers. Someone interested in building a career in e-bikes would be perfect. 

Initially 30 hours per week, hours increase from Nov - Mar annually.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the day to day running of the store with assistance from the owner

• Interact with customers as required. You need good listening skills and patience

• Servicing customer bikes

• Diagnose and order parts for e-bike repairs as they arise

• Servicing our fleet of rental e-bikes

• Build new retail bikes to a shop ready standard

• Maintain a tidy and orderly work area

• Ensure stock of spare parts and consumables maintained on a just-in-time basis

• Follow all business policies as issued from time to time, but in particular the Health & Safety Policy and the Drug & Alcohol Policy

• Be prepared to work weekend hours, particularly during Nov-Mar

• Be prepared to perform any and all tasks needed in the business (e.g. pick up and delivery of goods to customers, sales assistance, cleaning up)

Skills and experience:

• Ideally 3 years of relevant bike industry experience (does not have to be e-bike experience) or be mechanically minded and able to learn

• Technically capable to work on all styles of bikes to an excellent standard

• Skills to diagnose issues and offer solutions quickly

• Able to manage your own time effectively

• Extremely confident and competent cyclist

• Able to think on your feet, self-motivate and self-manage

• Love the product and love cycling, for everyone

• Great communication skills and customer-first attitude
