Supplying products to retailers throughout the UK, Australia and New Zealand, you could be at the heart of our commercial Business Development for the North Island Architecture & Design space!

This challenging role will give flexibility and freedom to evolve,as you will work remotely and spend your time out and about networking and hunting for business in the booming commercial property sector of major North Island hubs- Tauranga, Auckland and Wellington.

About the Company: 
This internationally renowned design flooring company is a provider of stylish and realistic wood and stone effect flooring to both homes and businesses around the world. The company originated in the UK 40 years ago and has experienced significant growth overseas.

The Role:
Generate sales revenue in the commercial channel through promotion of products to Architects and Designers, whilst providing an outstanding service. You’ll have the opportunity to engage with current and potential clients to ensure continual growth of their individual sales portfolio. This will contribute to meeting the team commercial sales target.

What Will I be Doing Day to Day?

  • Maintain accurate information and continuously improve market insights
  • Analyse competitors to increase industry market knowledge
  • Develop quotes and proposals
  • Develop, implement and achieve new business plans
  • Establish, maintain and continuously improve territory plans
  • Use social media to identify new sales leads and markets
  • Strengthen and maintain existing client relationships
  • Follow up on business development leads
  • Ensure that all customers have up to date samples and marketing collateral
  • Work towards and achieve personal sales targets

Do I Have the Relevant Experience?

  • Proven experience in commercial and specification sales, backed up by positive references
  • Strong planning, organisational and database management
  • Excellent written, aural and oral communication skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Intermediate MS Office skills
  • A current valid full NZ driver’s license is essential – you can’t do the role without it!
  • Eligibility to work in NZ for at least the next 3 years
