About the business and the role

  • To maximise the profitable sales through effective client relationships, sales and marketing processes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve sales and grow the business through increased sales opportunities.

 

 

Job tasks and responsibilities

Sales Management

  • Sell homes ensuring that the minimum sales targets are met
  • Follow and maintain the integrity of company current sales processes
  • Record, process and file all client information through to completion of the sales process in company's system
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients through the duration of the sales process and home construction
  • Host the Display Home/s as per the roster, representing the business in a professional and knowledgeable manner at all times
  • Prepare and complete all required forms, checks and documents
  • Prompt follow up of all generated leads through Show Home and general enquiry
  • Represent company brand in a professional manner at all time
  • Provide weekly sales reports and forecasts to enable more effective business planning
  • Enter all leads/opportunities/potential clients/contacts gained daily into company's System
  • Ensure all unconditional sales contracts meet the minimum company margin targets
  • Ensure any delays or issues are rectified as soon as they become apparent so that sales budgets and contract margins are not negatively impacted
  • Attend all sales training and sales team meetings as required
  • Put all potential and existing clients through the risk matrix
  • Price jobs and keep the system updated

Networking and Business Development

  • Network with a minimum of two nominated networking groups
  • Identify and target groups/areas/industries to increase opportunities such as ethnic and community groups, real estate agents, architectural designers, local Iwi, church groups etc
  •  Manage the development of customer and industry association relationships
  •  Follow and maintain the integrity of the company brand and associated marketing processes
  • Assist with advertising and marketing initiatives
  • Keep abreast of developments in the building industry and consumer demand
  • Keep abreast of competitors and feedback relevant information to the business
  • Build effective relationships with developers to identify and secure potential building sites for clients
  • Provide input to management, designers and quantity surveyors into house design, pricing and marketing/advertising strategies
  • Assist at or attend consumer Home Shows or other promotional activities
  • Actively follow up on leads and opportunities in a timely manner
  • Continually seek opportunities within new developments
  • Work with management to assist and secure contracts for large-scale building opportunities
  • Respond to Requests for Proposals from developers in a timely fashion (preparing pricing and plans)

 

 

Skills and experience

  • Relationship focused sales and marketing experience at both an operational and strategic level
  • House construction industry knowledge preferred
