We are looking for a personable, go-getter with outstanding relationship management skills to join the small, creative and passionate team looking after a major Waikato event.
The Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival (HGAF) would like to hear from those who are well connected in the Waikato region, with experience in sponsorship, sales, or corporate relations who want to take on a new challenge.
You will be responsible for managing, growing and implementing the Festival’s sponsorship programme, and leading the development of a new individual donor programme.
HGAF has a well developed and strong sponsor family and this role will be focused on maximising the value that sponsors derive from their association with HGAF, continuing to grow those relationships and opportunities, as well as looking for other opportunities for sponsors and individual donors to be a part of the Festival.
You will be a self motivated team player who can also work autonomously. You will have at least two years experience in sponsorship, sales, marketing or another related industry. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to positively influence relationships and business outcomes are highly desirable required attributes. The ability to build strong and successful relationships is an essential skill required for this role.

The Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival (HGAF) is a two-week arts festival that has been delivered annually since 1998. The Festival is held solely within the grounds of the Hamilton Gardens, using a wide range of performance spaces offered by the Gardens and its unique environs. It is the only outdoor festival of its type in New Zealand. From humble beginnings, the Festival has grown to become an iconic Waikato summer event and generates high community interest and attendance.
This is a part-time contract position, starting as soon as possible and leading up to the Festival in February/ March 2019. The exact contract structure will be negotiated with the right candidate. There is a set contract fee, plus scaled bonuses for new income brought to the festival.
