About the Role

Based in Newmarket reporting to the Sales Manager, this Key Account Management will develop strong strategic relationships, grow and retain business within the Vector Communications key customers.  You will not only grow but develop new opportunities within your portfolio consisting of some of NZ’s major house hold names, understand the market forces, where opportunities may develop and provide value to clients through your market expertise. This is an opportunity not to be missed! Other key responsibilities include –

  • Understand our client needs, and offer comprehensive solutions
  • Prepare and deliver proposals and tenders that meet current and future client needs
  • Maintain a pipeline of relationship management and continue to endorse the Vector brand within our key clients
  • Be an industry leader, providing market insight, presenting to clients and speaking at events

Who are we looking for

You’ll have previous experience as a Senior Key Account Manager, be commercially savvy and known for blitzing your target. You’ll also bring the following to be successful 

  • Commercially savvy
  • Proven sales and negotiation skills
  • Skilled at, and accustomed to, dealing at Senior/Executive Management Level
  • Strong knowledge of national and local governments
  • Understanding of legal contracts
  • Proven track record of growing an existing portfolio at CIO level in the blue-chip market with an emphasis on managed services, Wan, Data Centres and all things internet.
