As Foodstuffs North Island Business Manager you will hold overall responsibility of leading the Foodstuffs account to success and ensure best in class execution within the grocery channel.
In this unique and senior strategic leadership role you’ll be charged with setting the customer vision and strategies for growth. Supporting and guiding your key account team of 5 direct reports you will deliver the P&L, market share and owning the entire relationship with this key customer. Proactively you will be leading key strategic projects and develop the internal customer plan for Foodstuffs North Island.

Key responsibilities include:

• Strategy development and execution to drive customer engagement and category growth
• Provide leadership and guidance to your team – ensure everyone is performing to the best of their ability
• Develop initiatives and selling techniques to drive growth opportunities
• Monitor competitive intelligence, market growth opportunities and customer activities
• Deliver volume, sales revenue, margin, promotional and market share for the grocery channel

This role is not for the faint hearted – you will hold significant responsibility for one of our key customers and need to be a confident leader and decision maker who can quickly establish strong relationships and trust. 
 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be change agile and have the ability to navigate, lead and drive transformation throughout your team. Skilled at managing a profit and loss, you’ll be analytical with strong numeracy skills. You will have first rate relationship building and cross functional influencing skills. And of course being a seasoned professional from within FMCG, you will have demonstrable commercial sales management experience.

Creatively negotiating and optimising value comes naturally to you as you work across business functions achieving goals through persuasion and influence. Skills and Experience:


• Robust and significant exposure across the FMCG industry in a leadership role – understanding the drivers of the grocery environment
• Ability to change current state – having worked through major transformation projects
• Be an approachable and transformational leader who can drive and transform existing relationships
• Ability to make decisions and act fast – strong sense of being action orientated
• Strong analytical skills and ability to decode various streams of information and create compelling sales messages
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and be resilient
• Strong relationship builder who can easily establish trust and influence key stakeholders
