New Zealand’s premier supplier of well engineered and high-quality scaffolding solutions is looking to grow their business development capability in the Auckland and Upper North Island market. Supplying to the largest scaffolding contractors in the country,the organisation offers first-class engineering and design advice.

Due to growth and expansion, our client needs a disciplined and energetic BDM and Account Manager to assist in running and growing the Auckland territory. Although the head office is in Wellington, this position will report to the Auckland Sales and Technical Manager based in Onehunga. The role will involve an even split of new business development and account management. You will use your technical knowledge and sales skills to identify new customers and service existing clients through a consultative selling approach. 

It is envisaged that you will come from a technical sales background with experience in construction or industrial product and service areas. You will be able to demonstrate previous success in dealing with a range of accounts in terms of size and complexity. You will need to be naturally curious about sales opportunities in the marketplace as a key aspect of the role is developing new business relationships that provide a long-term return to both the company and the customer.

Your success in previous roles will need to show strong commercial judgement and the ability to turn analysis into action and then into results. As the Auckland Branch is small, team fit is imperative. Essentially you will have a mixture of technical solution selling ability, a friendly and approachable demeanour and be an absolute team player with the ability to help out at all levels when required.
