The Role
This role is varied, which will give you the opportunity to learn a variety of different tasks and work alongside other reps within the business. The main focus of the role is to manage and drive the sales (for the residential construction market) to get the timber specified in new builds. You will also be responsible for following up on enquires that come through head office and provide solutions for customers out on building sites.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining call cycle of building sites in the wider Auckland region
- Get product specified on new builds on decks, posts, etc.
- Build new relationships within the residential construction market
- Following up on quotes passed on from head office
- Dealing with enquiries on site
- Helping other sales reps with workload
- Product demonstrations and education for builders
- Keep up to date with the NZ Building Code
Skills & Experience
- NO SALES EXPERIENCE NEEDED however……
- You must have a keen attitude to get out and make things happen for yourself
- Be hardworking and determined to get results
- Must be very organised
- Have a willingness to learn (there is lots to know)
- Have a technical aptitude and be a problem solver
- This role would be great for anyone wanting to move onto road sales from customer service or come off the tools.
